Established in 2008

It all started when Wiggins Edrington was working as a salesman for a large rental house that catered to mostly commercial contractors. On a daily basis he witnessed small contractors and homeowners turned away due to this company’s strict policies. The counter guys wanted to help, but their hands were tied, and because of this many potential customers and revenue was lost. There had to be a way to cater to the homeowner and small contractor with a high level of service. The seed had been planted in Wiggins’ mind and with the help of his brother Richard they started Grand True Value Rental. It would not have been possible without the incredible support from their family and trusted advisers. Grand True Value Rental has served New Orleans with a high level of service from day one, and strives to continue serving at a high level for many years to come. The brothers, Richard and Wiggins, opened this business to fill a void in equipment rental in the New Orleans area post-Katrina. They both went into this business with eyes wide open and very familiar with the equipment rental needs of the construction business, landscaping, home improvement, party rentals and the weekend warriors. They are native New Orleanians who want to help their customers and city and region along the way. They want to work with you, and to them no job is to big or small.

Owner - Wiggins and his wife Angel and 3 children Virginia, Betsy and Charlie call the 70124 zip code their home. Wiggins is a huge LSU Tiger fan, and avid outdoorsman. When not working or with the family, Wiggins can be found in the duck blind or on the golf course. Recreation comes natural for Mr. Wigs. Life is too short to not enjoy the journey.

Owner - Richard and his wife Jessica reside in Lakeview and hope to start a family, but until then they have the company of their 3 Dogs Sugar, Lucy , and Ronnie Lu Lu. Richard is a huge animal lover and die hard Tiger fan, in the fall he lives and dies by his Tigers. When not working there is a good chance Richard is managing his stress by playing the game of golf which has tortured him for years.

  • Sugar R.I.P. - July 2, 2004 – December 29th, 2017 - Our beloved shop dog for 8 years is no longer with us but will always be on our minds. A entrepreneurial yellow lab who strived daily to bring a smile to every customer who walked thru the door. Sugar was our morale leader. She has never turned down a pet or a belly rub. Sugar was a native of Algiers. She survived being hit by a car and be given up for adoption. Grand Rental adopted Sugar in Aug 2007 . She worked tirelessly as our shop dog and welcomed everyone with open paws. She was a kind soul who never gave up . Sugar battled bone cancer for 8 months and came to work daily even after her left leg was amputated. Even after the amputation she had a love for life and made sure she lived every day to the fullest. Sugar left us December 29th, 2017. It was a tremendous loss for Grand Rental, but the lasting memories of Sugar and her time at Grand Rental kept our business alive with hope.
  • Thelma Mae – New Shop Dog 2019 – Present - Thelma Mae our 3 yr old yellow lab has big shoes to fill with Sugar no longer being with us, but she has risen to the occasion and has been a hit with customers and staff. Thelma Mae loves to play, and lives for her days on Canal Blvd. She has never met a stranger and is always up for a belly rub and a treat.
